GoodRemi is a mobile application developed and owned by Gaoov LLP ("we," "our," "us," or "Gaoov"). This Privacy Policy explains how Gaoov collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application GoodRemi - Warranty Tracker (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information You Provide
Account Information (Mandatory for syncing and billing features):

Product Warranty Data (User-generated, local-first):

No Tracking: Gaoov does NOT collect:

2.3 Information from Third Parties
Firebase Authentication:
- Gaoov uses Firebase to authenticate user logins securely.
- Firebase collects: email, encrypted password, user ID, and device type.
AI Receipt Scanning (Premium Feature):
- When you use AI scanning, receipt images are processed via a secure, privacy-sandboxed open-source Large Language Model (LLM).
- Images are parsed in memory and are NOT stored by us or any third-party AI provider.
- Extracted text data (product name, price, date) is saved directly back to your device database.
Cloud Sync (Premium Feature):
- If you enable cloud sync, warranty data is securely backed up on Supabase servers.
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest using AES-256.
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 Core App Functionality
Gaoov uses your information to:
- Create and manage your account credentials.
- Store warranty data locally on your device (SQLite database).
- Send local warranty expiration alerts.
- Enable search and filter functionality.
- Allow you to export, restore, or backup your data.
3.2 Premium Features
For Premium subscribers:
- Process receipt images via sandboxed open-source LLM models.
- Sync warranty data across your devices.
- Verify premium status using Razorpay transactions.
3.3 Service Improvement
Anonymized logs help Gaoov troubleshoot local database issues and improve page response speeds.
Gaoov will NEVER:
- Sell your data to third parties.
- Use your data for targeted advertising.
- Share your data with marketers.
- Track you across other apps or websites.
4. How We Store Your Information
4.1 Local Storage (Free and Premium Users)
Warranty data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database. It remains completely offline-first unless you explicitly enable cloud sync. Deleting the app deletes all local data.
4.2 Cloud Storage (Premium Users Only)
If you choose to enable cloud sync, data is securely stored on Supabase servers (hosted in India region). Data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256.
6. Data Retention
6.1 Active Accounts
Local databases remain on your device indefinitely. Synced cloud databases remain active as long as the account exists.
6.2 Account Deletion
When you delete your account, local data is immediately deleted. Cloud sync and auth records are deleted from our servers within 30 days. Backup logs are cleared in 90 days.
7. Your Rights (DPDPA & Data Protection in Bharat)
We respect the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) guidelines of India. You have the right to:
- Access: Request summary of your data stored on cloud.
- Correction: Correct, update, or edit any details inside the app.
- Erasure: Erase your account and all associated cloud sync backups.
- Withdrawal: Withdraw your consent for sync at any time in app settings.
- Grievance Redressal: Submit issues directly to our support team at support@gaoov.in.
To delete your account: Go to Settings → Account → Tap Delete Account, enter your password, and confirm.
8. Children's Privacy
GoodRemi is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe your child has created an account, contact us at support@gaoov.in.
9. Security Measures
Gaoov implements Firebase Auth security guidelines, TLS/HTTPS encryption, local device sandboxing, and AES-256 for cloud records.
10. Data Residency
In line with our sovereign portal guidelines for Bharat, all cloud-synced databases are hosted within the territory of India (Mumbai AWS regions). Data does not cross borders.
12. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to external sites (e.g. manufacturer websites). Gaoov is not responsible for the privacy practices of external domains.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Gaoov may update this policy. Significant changes will be broadcasted via in-app banners. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of changes.
